Feature Friday: Interview with Sharokina Pazand

Sharokina, can you start by telling us about your company? Citygirl At Work is a creative coworking and events space for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and remote workers that want to get work done, to meet others, or just BE in a cozy, yet inspiring friend-like apartment.
What motivated and inspired you to start your business? I saw a need for entrepreneurs and freelancers to work and connect in a comfortable environment.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors? Our space looks and feels like you are at your best friend's apartment.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs? Keep going. It's hard but it's worth it.
How do you keep motivated through difficult times? Work out to keep my mind strong (#peletonobsessed), listening to inspiring podcasts, and just learning how to take time to just BE.
What are you most proud of as a company? That we are creating a community despite not being able to operate out of our physical space right now.
Where do you see your company in the next three years? Being able to work out of our beautiful work/event space and having a great in-person and online community that comes together to collaborate, learn from one another, and grow as human beings.
What is your favorite professional (business) book and why? "Rework" by David Heinemeier Hansson and Jason Fried; I can open up that book anytime and it always makes sense. A topic explored in the book that really resonates with me is to simplify and not over complicate tasks in business. Things are never going to be perfect and that's a-okay.
What is your favorite quote and why?

The reason why we are here is not only to elevate our souls and learn and grow but to help others learn, grow, and elevate, too.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Explore meditation.
What fun unknown factoid could you share that most people may not know? This could be professional or personal. I love flaming hot cheetos. I'm obsessed.
