Feature Friday: Interview with Jennifer Jost

Jennifer, can you start by telling us about yourself and company? On my journey from grief to reclaiming life, I found meaning in serving others and guiding women on their paths to empowerment. My daily drive comes from honoring my children, Nicholas and Cheri who passed away in 1993. I made a decision to LIVE on purpose when I could not even get up off the bathroom floor. Once I decided to follow my passion, everything fell into place. As a single mother and business owner, I had no one to support me and help me understand finances. I believe people come into your life when needed. I was blessed to be introduced to the Financial Services Industry and learned I was very good at understanding and explaining to clients. Founder of Diamond Life Planning, a Wealth Planning company. After meeting with thousands of people, I realized that we all have a relationship with money and traditional Financial Services was not addressing emptions and money. I founded Diamond Life Strategies, a Money Coaching company to help address our old beliefs not serving us. Feels wonderful to make a difference every day and help people find Financial Freedom!
What motivated and inspired you to start your business? I got screwed! And not one cared about me or my family.
How do you distinguish yourself from your competitors? I look at money from the Feminine Perspective and the Modern way of Investing. Through my life experiences and education, I provide a SAFE place for my clients to be themselves by sharing their beliefs and desires while I walk with them through every Life Stage. To have a coach and advisor who has been there done that, lends to amazing transformation. An award winning Wealth Advisor & Certified Money Coach and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst I come from many different modalities to create a Diamond Life Plan for my clients. Awards such as National Associate Advisor of the Year, Presidents Club and Inner Circle, which qualified me for the Million Dollar Round Table and in my spare time I volunteers as a Certified Grief Counselor I can share in many of my clients concerns and relate.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs? You are not alone. Reach out to reach up. Enjoy being perfectly imperfect. Be satisfied where you are and always desire the next level. FOCUS & FORGIVE=FREEDOM
How do you keep motivated through difficult times? I know I am not alone so I reach out. I have an amazing support system. I have my Soul Sisters, my Business Coaches, my Speaking Sisters, friends & family, my clients all know who I am and I appreciate their trust and friendship which drives me every day to be MY BEST.
What are you most proud of as a company? After so many years in business, the vast knowledge we have can help in so many ways that go unaddressed normally. After helping thousands of people there is not much we have not encountered. The transformation we provide by sharing spirituality, expertise and authentic passion is so unique. We make a difference with EVERY person we come in contact with. The value provided is unsurpassed as our clients Concierge Coach and Advisor. Personal Wealth Coach is Amazing!
Where do you see your company in the next three years? BIGGER AND BETTER AS ALWAYS. Majority of clients coming from the virtual world. Making a BIGGER difference.
What is your favorite professional (business) book and why? There is never just one. There is always a perfect one for each stage of business. Here are a few of my favorites; Jen Sincero's books "You are a Badass at Making Money" and "You are a Badass"; "Profit First" is a must read for every new entrepreneur; "The Soul of Money" by Marianne Williamson; "Prosperity Consciousness" by Fredric Lehrman and all books on the law of attraction. My go to is "The Power" by Rhonda Byrne; "Think and Grow Rich for Women" Sharon Lechter just to name a few. I have 3 or 4 books going at all times.
What is your favorite quote and why?
"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."
~ Maya Angelo
I love this quote because as women I believe we feel like everything must be perfect. In fact we put ourselves on hold until we feel things are perfect. So forgive your past and be satisfied with your present and desire your future into existence. We will never be perfect and we can always do better. Love yourself and your life will flow amazingly. I ask myself every night, "How could I have done better?" And yes at times I have apologies to make. When I know better, I do better.
What do you like to do in your spare time? What is spare time? lolol I know this is a hot topic for business owners since our spare time is very limited. I love golf, music, ocean, sun, walks, drives, wine, scotch, movies, good food, sushi, boating, swimming, sun, friends & family, pubs and new experiences.
What fun unknown factoid could you share that most people may not know? This could be professional or personal. Since I am an open book, this is tough. I never felt like I belonged until I was in The Group Class in high school, where we all shared our lives and helped each other get through out dysfunctional home lives. That is where I found peace and knowing life was worth living.
